This month at "I'm an Organizing Junkie" the monthly challenge is organize the kid's rooms. I'm trying to participate but because of my limited budget I'm compromising. Instead of spending $100 on a closet organizer I built this:

Oh sure, I could have had my husband do it, but then when would I get to play with the power tools? The top two shelves are going to be for books and I want to get baskets for the bottom shelves for toys. There is a perfect spot for it in the closet, right on the floor where his books currently reside. I just wish I'd measured it first. Oh well, it will fit on the other side of the closet if not in that space. The best news is it was only $20 and I think the baskets I saw at DollarTree will fit for a total of $22.
